League One
Tuesday 2nd October 2007
Bristol Rovers 1-1 Southend United
Leon Clarke grabbed a last-gasp equaliser to earn Southend a point.
Clarke was given room deep into injury time to smash a right-foot shot past Bristol Rovers keeper Steve Phillips.
Rovers took an 11th-minute lead when Richard Walker scored from the spot after Garry Richards had been adjudged to have handled a Steve Elliott shot.
A game of few chances saw Elliott have a first-half header cleared off the line while Southend went close through Adam Barrett and Lewis Hunt.
League One
Saturday 27th March 2010
Bristol Rovers 4-3 Southend United
An injury-time own goal from Southend's Anthony Grant gifted Bristol Rovers victory after a topsy-turvy clash.
Scott Vernon's spot-kick and Scott Spencer's volley put Southend 2-0 up but Jo Kuffour's lob and Jeff Hughes' penalty levelled before half-time.
Hughes put Rovers 3-2 up after the break before Vernon headed in from a corner to restore parity again.
But Southend's Frank Moussa was sent off and Grant headed into his own net to compound the visitor's misery.
League Two
Tuesday 6th November 2012
Bristol Rovers 2-3 Southend United
Southend saw off League Two strugglers Bristol Rovers, who were reduced to 10 men late on.
Fabian Broghammer fired home at the second time of asking for the hosts, but Gavin Tomlin slotted in for 1-1.
Kevan Hurst stroked the Shrimpers ahead on the stroke of half-time and Ryan Cresswell headed in a third.
David Clarkson's penalty made it 3-2 after Eliot Richards was fouled by Sean Clohessy, but substitute Oliver Norburn was sent off for fouling Ryan Leonard.
Rovers are now just one point clear of the League Two relegation places, while Southend are two points off the play-offs.
