Trevor Kettle Will Officiate His 22nd Blues Game This Weekend

This Saturday's Sky Bet League One game against Bradford City will be refereed by Trevor Kettle...

The long-serving referee has over 15-years of experience, going on to referee in the Championship, League One & Two as well as officiating in all three of England's major trophy competitions.

Blues' match against Bradford will be Kettle's 22nd game in charge of a Southend fixture.

The last Blues match he took charge of came last season when we travelled to Bristol Rovers on 11th March 2017.

The result ended in a 2-0 win for the hosts with five yellow cards being shown in the game of which four went to Blues players, Jason Demetriou, Anton Ferdinand, Will Atkinson and Simon Cox.

This season he has taken charge of 35 games which have been spread across the football league as well as brandishing 130 yellow cards and five red cards.
