All the reaction to Bank Holiday Monday's resounding win over Gillingham...

Blues fans were given an Easter treat on Monday as a rampant Southend ended six years of frustration with a win over local rivals Gillingham.

Nine games had passed since Monday 13th February 2012 when Liam Dickinson and a Joe Martin own goal gave Paul Sturrock's side a 2-1 win at Priestfield Stadium.

This was a much more convincing win from Chris Powell's side; 3-0 up after 18 minutes, 4-0 at half time and the visitors a man down at the break.

It could have been more with chances aplenty in the second half, nevertheless it was a first class performance from Blues and the perfect response to Friday's reverse of the same scoreline.
