Blues continued their poor start to the 1981/82 season with another draw.
 
Garry Nelson came close to scoring the opening minutes.

It ended goalless for Blues despite some good chances from David webb’s side.
 
Paul Smith came close to scoring in the first half with a close range shot that went just wide of the post.
 
Keith Jones was the other Blues player who almost scored with a header that was saved by Mark Grew.
 
 
2002 
 
Lincoln 2-1 Southend 
 
Jay Smith scored Blues only goal as they lost 2-1 despite opening the scoring.
 
Jay Smith opened the scoring in the first half only for it to be cancelled out by Luke Cornwall’s goal just on the stroke of half time.
 
Adie Mike scored the final goal to give the home side all three points.
