Third Cohort Of Seetec Students Kick Off Their Studies At Roots Hall

Seetec students begin three weeks of work at Roots Hall...

Southend United have kicked off a third cohort of trainees on the Facilities Management Academy with Essex-based employment and skills specialist Seetec.

Seetec are Southend United’s Official Training Wear Sponsor and after the first cohort completed the course from the end of last season, with the second completing the course at the beginning of this season, the third group of students are underway with the training.

The programme will see talented 16-18-year olds complete three weeks of on-site work as part of their eight-week traineeship.

The recent intake have started the practical side of the course and will be attending to work in the West Stand as they renovate The Wine Bar as part of their studies.

The students will also be learning how to manage and maintain Roots Hall Stadium and its corporate rooms during the season.

Roots Hall underwent work ahead of the start of the Sky Bet League One 2017/18 season to prepare the ground for another year of football.
