Two second half goals denied Blues from securing any points from the game.
The home side opened the scoring in the opening minutes with Chris Grimshaw swinging a ball into the box only for John Kerr to tap the ball into John Keeley’s net.
Winston White scored Bury’s second after the winger broke forward and past Mickey Stead, which left White with a shot on goal which he slotted past the keeper.
Southend 1-2 Tranmere
Goals either side of the whistle denied Blues a win on the day.
Ben Chorley opened the scoring for the visitors in the 30th minute.
Adam Barrett scored Blues equaliser just before half time as the defender headed home a corner.
Tranmere’s Gareth Taylor scored the second to out the visitors in the lead for the second time.
Southend 2-2 Barnet
Kevan Hurst’s late equaliser secured Blues a 2-2 draw to a struggling Barnet.
Kevan Hurst sent a screaming shot from 25-yards into the crossbar early in the first half as Blues dominated the half.
Barnet opened the scoring with a goal in the 54th minute when Ricky Holmes crashed a long range shot into the top left-hand corner.
The Bees doubled their lead in the 65th minute when Jake Hyde converted Holmes’ left-wing cross at the near post.
Blues’ hit back two minutes later as Freddy Eastwood crashed home a penalty after Barry Fuller had handled the ball inside the area.
It wasn’t until four minutes from time that Hurst scored the equaliser, when he scuffed home a volley to secure a point for Blues’.
