Partnership for Future Blues continues...
Southend United are delighted to announce the continuation of their partnership with c2c with the Future Blues scheme.
Future Blues, in partnership with C2C offers youngsters the chance to become part of the Club’s future.
Future Blues, a joint initiative run by the Club and Southend United’s Community and Educational Trust, sees local primary school children & local sports clubs given the opportunity to come and watch live football on their doorstep at Roots Hall Stadium.
During the Sky Bet League One 16/17 season, over 17,000 children were invited to watch Blues at Roots Hall thanks to the scheme.
Dale Spiby, Chief Executive of SUCET said “Our fans of the future initiative, Future Blues, allows us to engage with children and families from local schools and give them opportunities to visit Roots Hall for selected games throughout the season. This is vitally important work for Southend United to ensure it has sustainable growth over the coming years as we look to relocate into a brand new state of the art stadium. We would like to thank c2c for providing us with the opportunity of delivering this important work.”
Clare McCaffrey, Commercial Director of c2c said, “We are delighted to continue our Future Blues partnership with Southend United, and look forward to offering many thousands of families in our community the opportunity to enjoy football at Roots Hall over the coming season.”
Danny Macklin, Commercial Director of Southend United was also full of praise for the scheme.
“The Future Blues scheme is something the Club is very proud of. Future Blues gives youngsters and families the opportunity to experience live football or event live sport often for the first time.
Via this partnership with c2c we are able to engage with school children across South Essex to deliver important rail safety messages.”
