23 March 2017

Seetec Apprenticeships course begins makeover at Roots hall...

Southend United’s Facilities Management Academy began work this week on one of the corporate rooms at Roots Hall.

Apprentices on the course, which is run in conjunction with Essex-based education and skills organisation Seetec, are re-painting and re-carpeting the hospitality suite to give it a full makeover.

The six trainees have undergone three weeks of theory before undertaking the practical side to make up their qualification on the ten-week course. In total it is a 100-hour work placement.

The students are learning how to prepare and maintain a football arena to ensure match-going fans enjoy the matchday experience.

We will update this story as and when the makeover is complete.
