During the close season, we will be bringing you some historic images throughout Southend United's history.
After beating Brush Sports 6-1 in the FA Cup 1st Round, Southend United were drawn away to Barnet in the 2nd Round, with the match to be played at Barnet’s notoriously sloping Underhill ground. A massive crowd of 8,065 packed in to see Southend demolish the non-leaguers 9-2, with Harry Lane bagging a hat-trick.
