We take a look at another Blues academy graduate...
Isaac Hayden joined Blues’ youth academy in 2004 and stayed with the club until 2008.
He was 13 when he left to go join Arsenal’s Academy and progressed through the youth system to eventually make his debut for the club against West Bromwich Albion in the third round of the League Cup in 2013.
Hayden was sent out on loan to Hull City for a season-long loan during the 2015/16 season and never went on to make a league appearance for the North London side.
He made 24 appearances in all competitions for Hull scoring one goal in a 6-0 thumping against Charlton on 16th January 2016.
When Hayden returned he was immediately snapped up by Rafa Benitez at Newcastle which allowed the chance to return to Roots Hall and play against his former side in a pre-season friendly last season.
He proved to be an important player in their return to the Premier League last season and will now test himself in the top flight this coming campaign.
