Young stopper thriving off chance...
Ted Smith is confident the postponed Bolton game won't disturb the squad too much, with Fleetwood playing twice in that time.
Uwe Rosler's side traveled to Coventry last weekend and won, before heading to top of Sky Bet League One Sheffield United, also picking up three points.
Blues' goalkeeper for the last month says everyone is excited to get back at it in Lancashire.
“In some ways it’s nice to get a bit of a break because we had a long run of games over Christmas so it’s nice to get that two weeks to re-group and re-focus," he said.
“We’re back on it and looking forward to a big game this weekend.
“They’re a good side and they play good football. We’ve had an extra few days to prepare and they’ve had a run of games so that might do them a favour, but we should be fresh."
Mark Oxley is rated 50/50 for the weekend, and Smith, who has deputised excellently, has enjoyed being a part of some important wins.
“For me it’s just nice to get out there and play in a winning team," he added.
"I’ve stepped in before and we haven’t really won; we had a lot of draws so to get points on the board with me in the side has been nice.
"It’s not nice to see another goalkeeper get injured and he will be back soon which is nice to hear.
"But in some ways you’ve got to be selfish and I need to be playing games.
"I’m 21 and I need to be playing regular games and I can only see myself getting more consistent now.”
