Forward answers questions from pupils...
Southend United striker Simon Cox was the latest first-team member to attend a local primary school to support the Future Blues initiative in association with C2C.
Pupils at Eastwood Primary School were treated to a slightly different assembly with Cox taking part in a Q&A where he discussed coming on in the FA Cup semi-final in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium and his best goal for Southend against AFC Wimbledon on Boxing Day.
The Future Blues initiative entitles every child in the assembley to a free ticket for themselves and their parent for a game in the near future, to continue to build the next generation of Blues fans.
Anton Ferdinand and Ben Coker recently visited Chalkwell Primary School, Jason Demetriou and Luke O'Neill were at Rayleigh Primary last week and on Thursday 12 January Anthony Wordsworth and Adam Thompson made the trip to Janet Duke Primary School in Basildon.
Southend United are committed to bringing the Club closer to the next generation of fans and Future Blues continues to thrive along with the great work achieved by Southend United's Community and Educational Trust.
