Phil Brown previews weekend trip to Gillingham...
Phil Brown is taking one game at a time and isn't "getting too far ahead" of himself, despite the good form Blues are in.
Blues travel to Gillingham off the back of a fantastic 4-1 win away at Peterborough, which moved them up to fifth in Sky Bet League One, looking to make it three away wins on the bounce.
And Brown is not looking any further than the next game.
"The challenge is not to get too far ahead of yourself," he said. "The challenge is the next game. The challenge is Gillingham away.
"It’s never been an easy fixture and it will prove to be that on Saturday.
"There’s bragging rights at stake. It’s a local rivalry.
"We’ve recently gone to a rival and having performed well enough to win the game, come away with a 1-0 defeat.
"That’s the only bad result this month. We’ve got to make sure that doesn’t happen on Saturday and we’ve got make sure we performed as well as we did on Tuesday night.
"If them two mindsets are in place on Saturday we’ll have half a chance.
The tables have turned compared to the last time the two sides faced off, when Gills won the two opening games of the season 3-1 in a matter of days.
And Brown admitted who couldn't have imagined the season panning out the way it has for both.
"No I couldn't. At the time we were going through a bad period when we didn’t have our best side out.
"At this moment in time I can not only get my best side out, I can get my best bench out because eof the size of the injury list which is very minimal at the moment.
"It’s a different game altogether now since the first day of the season."
