Phil Brown on bringing Theo Robinson to the club...
Phil Brown revealed Theo Robinson's pace was a major selling point and a key reason behind signing the 28-year-old.
Robinson was a deadline day signing from Lincoln City where he has impressed in the FA Cup, scoring five goals in their run to the fifth round.
And Brown said it was a no brainer to bring the forward back to the club before the January transfer window closed.
“It was the pace that attracted me in the summer as well," Brown said.
“Unfortunately, at the time we were going through a period of bringing strikers in and decided against Theo in that situation.
"He’s gone to Lincoln and every credit to him because he’s grasped the nettle to say the least. He’s gone non-league football and had a fantastic time.
"He’s full of confidence, full of life and he almost looks a different player.
"Theo’s a confidence player and when he gets a regular run in the team he gets goals.
"His pace frightens the life out of any defender it doesn’t matter what level it is.
"In Lincoln’s FA Cup run he’s played against teams in a higher, got himself goals and frightened the life out of them.
"It was a no brainer when it became available to us."
