Southend United are asking fans to vote for their November DeVines Player of the Month.

You can vote for the following candidates:

  • Michael Turner
  • Stephen McLaughlin
  • Ryan Leonard

Michael Turner was introduced into Phil Brown’s side at the start of the month when Blues beat Essex rivals Colchester in the Checkatrade Trophy. Turner went onto play in three games consecutively in a week following that 70 minutes against our near neighbours, ending an 18-month wait for league action, and he has looked at home in those games.

Stephen McLaughlin played himself back into the starting XI in November after an impressive substitute appearance away at Portsmouth. His inclusion against MK Dons was rewarded with a fine goal, taking his tally to three for the season, and he followed that with the assist for Simon Cox’s goal against Oxford last weekend.

Ryan Leonard has played well in the centre of midfield all season, and November was no exception. Leonard manintained his record of starting every league game with his usual high level of performance.

Voting is open until Friday 8th December and the winner will be presented his award later this month.

To cast your vote head to Blues’ official twitter account @SUFCRootsHall and make your vote count.
