Michael Timlin sustained an ankle ligament injury in the defeat to Bradford and will be missing for “four to six weeks”, Phil Brown has confirmed.
The midfielder went down injured in the first half against the Bantams but played on until the 69th minute before coming off for Jermaine McGlashan.
Anthony Wordsworth also came off with a calf injury but should be fit to face Scunthorpe this weekend, as should Ben Coker who played 90 minutes upon his return from a broken leg in the same game.
Brown said: “Ben came out of the game in good fettle. I didn’t expect to get 90 minutes out of him and he was tired on Sunday and Monday but got back to it on Tuesday and hopefully we’ll see him Thursday and Friday in time for Saturday’s game.
“Anthony Wordsworth has been on the treatment table all week but hopefully we’ll see him today and tomorrow with a view to Saturday.
“But Michael Timlin is bad news. He’s gone over on his ankle ligaments and gone through the pain barrier as he always does but he could be out for between four to six weeks.”
