Graham Horwood to take charge of Blues Boxing Day clash

Tuesday’s Sky Bet League One game against Charlton will be refereed by Graham Horwood…

After the full-time whistle on Boxing Day Graham Horwood would have taken charge of his fourteenth Blues game.

Horwood took charge of Southend’s game against AFC Wimbledon on the 26th September which saw Blues win 1-0 after a 60th minute winner goal from Jason Demetriou.

He brandished three yellow cards during the game, with one going to AFC Wimbledon and two going to Southend players, who were Jason Demetriou and Harry Kyprianou.

Horwood started his in the Football Conference back in 2006, progressing up through the league’s until he refereed his first game in the Championship, which is currently Horwood’s highest appointment as a referee. However, this season he has been referring in League One and League Two.

His last game came on 25th November when Gillingham hosted Oldham Athletic, the game ended in a goalless draw with four yellow cards being shown, bringing his tally of total cards shown up to 821 yellow cards and 33 red cards.
