We take a look at another Blues Academy graduate...

Dominic Iorfa started off at Southend’s Academy and progressed through the youth system attracting interest from higher clubs. After his impressive performances he earned himself a scholarship with Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2013 and played for their under 18 team, when he was only 15.

He moved to Shrewsbury on a one-month loan back in March 2013, and made his debut on 18th March 2014 against Colchester, during his short stay he made seven appearances.

On his return to his parent club he spent most of the time on the bench; but eventually made his debut for Wolves on 6th December 2014 when they lost 2-1 to Bournemouth in the Championship. In his 2013/14 half season with Wolves he made 22 appearances.

Since then he has become an integral part of Wolves defence and so far, has made 93 appearances for the Championship side.

In the summer of this year he signed for fellow Championship side IpswichTown; and has featured in all five of their opening games.

During his time with Wolves he has earned 18 England call ups at youth level, one being at U18 level, four at U20 and 13 at U21 level, with his most recent call up being in England’s U21 squad for the European Championship earlier this year.
