Dangermen for tonight's visitors Newport County
Shawn McCoulsky joined Newport on loan from Bristol City on 28th July this year and became their third signing of the summer.
The young forward impressed last season with Bristol City’s U23 side, scoring 31 goals.
The 20-year old started his career with non-league side Dulwich Hamlet before moving to Bristol City in 2015.
Last season he went on loan at two National League South teams; Weston-super-Mare and Bath City and National League side Torquay United making 28 appearances across the three teams and scoring 16 goals throughout the season.
Robbie Willmott became Newport’s first summer signing, returning to Rodney Parade from Chelmsford City where he shone in their push for promotion last season.
The midfielder previously played for Newport County (right in picture) back in 2013 making over 70 appearances and scoring 13 goals in all competitions during his first stay with the club.
He started his career with League Two side Cambridge United back in 2007, before leaving to join Luton Town. He attracted a lot of attention while at the Hatter’s, and was named in the Conference Team of the Season for the 2010/11 season.
In his first stint with Newport, he scored two goals on his debut in a 4-2 win against Lincoln City and was part of the 2012/13 Conference Premier Play-Off winning side that beat Wrexham 2-0 at Wembley.
Defender Scot Bennett started his career in Exeter City’s youth academy, making his debut in 2011 in a League One game against Swindon.
Bennett was an influential figure in Newport’s survival last season, appearing in 40 games in his first season back at Newport.
He was previously on loan from Notts County in 2015 for the first half of the 15/16 season.
