The man in the middle on Saturday...
Saturday’s home game against Rochdale will be refereed by Tim Robinson.
Last season he brandished 119 yellow cards and three red cards.
Saturday will be Robinson’s eighth Southend game that he will officiate, the last game being our 3-1 loss to Gillingham in the EFL Cup back on 9th August last season.
That game he showed three yellow cards, one of which went to Adam King.
He started his refereeing career in the Blue Square Premier Conference in 2011 and his first game came on 13th August 2011 when York City beat Ebbsfleet 2-1.
Since then he has gone on to referee in the Championship, with his most recent game coming last weekend as Brentford and Wolves played out goalless draw.
Throughout his career he has shown 663 yellow cards and 35 red cards during his six-year refereeing career.
