Striker signs until January...Southend United have signed Marc-Antoine Fortuné until January 23 following a successful trial with the club.
After starting his career in France, Fortuné moved to England on loan to Premier League Side West Bromwich Albion from Nancy in January 2009. The striker scored five goals in 17 league appearances for the Baggies including one on his debut against Middlesbrough.
After a successful six months at the Hawthorns, Fortuné moved north of the border to Glasgow giants, Celtic for £3.8million. The Frenchman was at Celtic Park for one season, scoring 12 times.
Fortuné then moved back to West Brom in 2010, spending three years with the midlands club before moving to Wigan Athletic in 2013, and then most recently Coventry City in 2015.
The striker will now link up with the Blues First Team Squad and will be available for selection for this Saturday’s game against Peterborough United.
