Blues midfielder previews Saturday's clash against Neil Harris' side...Stephen McLaughlin is confident the tide will turn for the Blues as he previewed Southend United’s upcoming game against Millwall at Roots Hall this Saturday (3pm kick off).
The winger, who recently picked up the DeVines Player of the Month Award for August, says the whole dressing room are determined to get back to winning this weekend against the Lions.
After a good week of training and a local affair in the offering, McLaughlin is hoping that with a strong home backing the Blues can get back on track.
“We’ve been looking to put things right in training this week.
“It’s been good and we’ve been prepared well, and we’ll go prepare again today to look to get the right result this weekend.
“Training has been good, the boys are in high spirits again and we are ready to go.
“You’ve got to put it (previous results) behind you, you can’t dwell on it, the past is that past and the only thing you can do is put it right in the next game and that’s what we’re looking to do.
“There’s no better game to do it. We always seem to show up for the big games and this is a big game at home.
“We know we’re we should be and we’re not in the right position at the minute, but that can turn around and it will turn around.
“I’m sure at the weekend we will have the fans backing us and believing in what we’re trying to do.
“With them backing us I know we will come good.”
