Midfielder previews the Spireites...Anthony Wordsworth is hoping that the Blues can get themselves back to winning ways and make it six unbeaten at Roots Hall this Saturday v Chesterfield.
The midfielder says it has been a good week of training ahead of welcoming the Spireites to town, and is confident that once a level of consistency is achieved, the team will soon start climbing the league.
Previewing the weekend Wordsworth said “The only thing we can do is try and be positive and training has been good this week and we’re looking forward to the game on Saturday.
“It’s our away form that is the problem at the moment, as at home we seem to get results and away we can’t quite do it, but like I said all you can do is be positive and work hard to fix it.
“Luckily we’ve got a home game this weekend, and we’ll be looking to get a result to put it right.
“If you win two or three games on the bounce you can be right back in the mix which is the strange thing.
“Rochdale are an example of a team who have found that consistency, so all is not lost, we still believe that we can do something positive this season with the squad we’ve got.”
Wordsworth has been a welcome addition back to the squad after recovering from a lengthy hamstring injury lay-off, and has helped Blues bag four points since his return; bagging the winner v Oxford United and the opening goal v Peterborough United.
And Woody is thrilled to be back to full-fitness.
“It’s nice to be back out there and to score a couple of goals which always helps.
“I’m starting to feel like myself again after a long time off, and being pain-free which is the main thing.”
