Jason Demetriou's thoughts on Blues' draw with Walsall...
Jason Demetriou was disappointed to come away from Banks’s Stadium with just a point on his return to his former club on Saturday.
Blues had to settle for a 0-0 draw with Walsall despite shading the better chances in the first half.
It means Blues stay unbeaten through the last eight games.
And the right back admitted better finishing was all that was missing on the day, but is pleased that Blues are becoming a tough nut to crack.
“I think we deserved all three points. I think that was quite evident to see,” he said.
“We’re disappointed in there that we’re doing well but we need to be a bit more clinical to get the three points.
“Whether we need to be a bit more arrogant or have that edge in the final third to get that final pass for the goal because that’s going to get us three points instead of one.
“It’s great to say you’re eight unbeaten but we should really be eight unbeaten with another two wins and another two wins and we would be right amongst it.
“We’re disappointed that we’re not winning but we’re hard to beat because eight unbeaten is a very good run.
“I’m confident that we can turn them [the results] into wins”.
Blues now have a ten day break before playing Oxford in the Checkatrade Trophy Second Round on December 6.
“We’ll look at the table with a little break now,” he added.
“I think it’s a good thing [ to have a break].
“We’ve had three games in a week and most of us have played all three games so it will be good to rest the legs for three or four days.
“If we had won it would’ve been even better but it’s eight unbeaten with some home games coming up which we’re looking forward to.”
