Midfielder delighted with debut strikeFranck Moussa felt his goal against Bury was the perfect way to repay the club’s faith in him this season.
The Belgian made a goalscoring second debut for the Blues in the 3-2 defeat to Bury on the final day of the Sky Bet League 1 season.
After joining the club in March, the midfielder was delighted to return with a goal for Phil Brown’s side.
“It was my first game back for the club, and to score in front of the fans is a great feeling, a beautiful feeling.” Moussa said.
“I’m thankful that the club has been so welcoming to me, and I was able to repay the with a goal.
“Unfortunately it wasn’t the winner, but it was something at least.”
Moussa paid tribute to the fans, who were in fine voice once more on Sunday, for all their support to him and the squad this season.
“They are the same fans that I left six years ago.
“I’ve come back and I see the last game tradition of dancing and enjoying themselves, whatever the result and it was great to see.
“Through the game I look up and see people in fancy dress and having a good time and that’s what it’s all about.
“They are good fans, and I’m glad that they had a good time.”
