Brown and Coughlan go head to head as fans become players for the night22 Blues Fans fulfilled their dreams on playing on the hallowed Roots Hall turf on Wednesday evening.
Southend United offered supporters the unique opportunity to bid to play at the home of the Blues under the management of Graham Coughlan and Phil Brown.
Team Brown and Team Coughlan were each given an official teamsheet prior to the game, and were given a thorough warm up by the Boss and the Assistant Manager.
The players were then given a team talk by their respective gaffers, and took their place in the tunnel ready to be led out by the officials.
With the desire to win present on the pitch and on the benches it made for a great game of football with Graham Coughlan’s side running out 5-3 winners.
A Man of the Match Award was handed to a member of each team, and the recipients were Josh Devlin for Phil Brown’s side and Jack Deasy for Coughlan’s eleven.
Every player has also been offered a DVD of the game which was recorded by Southend United's Performance Analyst, Ben Cirne.
Southend United would like to thank all members of both teams for a fantastic night at HQ.
