The club are currently offering two-year Futsal and 11 a side Education Scholarship schemes, starting in September 2016.
The Scholarship will ensure that learners are fully prepared for the future as it includes a full time education package, incorporating:
- BTEC Level 3 in Sport and Fitness - which is equivalent to three A-Levels
- Professional football training by a fully qualified UEFA B coach
- Matches playing against other professional football clubs such as Chelsea, Southampton and Watford
- Direct links into the sporting industry
To be eligible for the Scholarship you will need to achieve four GCSE’s at grades A – C, preferably including English and Maths.
Not only does the course allow access to university and further study, but it also opens the door to a coaching career including the opportunity to work in the USA or an apprenticeship.
In a recent visit, Blues Players Adam Barrett and Adam Thompson were certainly impressed by the scheme.
Adam Barrett : “What a fantastic course for local 16 – 18 year old male and females. As close to professional Football as you’re going to get. All the students seem to having a great time during training and the opportunity to play against other professional teams at the Olympic Park is great!”
Adam Thompson: “There’s a real buzz about this course – I always enjoy my Football best when I’m happy and all the students seem to be happy here. They all look the part too in their training kits and tracksuits”
