Blues sign Piotr Malarczyk on loan from Ipswich Town

Polish defender signs on an emergency loan deal

Southend United are delighted to confirm the signing of defender Piotr Malarczyk from Ipswich Town on an emergency loan until the end of the season.

The Polish defender, 24 signed for the Tractors boys in the summer of 2015 from Korona Kielce.

He has made six appearances for the Championship side this season, and with his favoured position being centre back, Malarczyk comes in to offer support to current first team defenders, Adam Barrett and Adam Thompson.

Blues Boss Phil Brown is delighted with the addition.
