Blues Boss helps in 24-hour 'plant-athon'

22 March 2016

Alton Garden Centre stage charity event for Greenfingers

This year Alton Garden Centre took on the 24-hour Plant-Athon challenge to support the Greenfingers Garden Re-Leaf Day. Director, Andy Bunker led the test of endurance with pride, determination and strong black coffee.

Greenfingers provide inspiring gardens and outdoor spaces for children in the hospice system, so Alton Garden Centre were determined to raise as much money for this deserving charity.

Throughout the Garden Re-Leaf Day the garden centre showed their support with a delicious home baked cake sale, bunny hunts, and of course the 24 Hour Plant-Athon.

Southend United wanted to play their part, and sent Manager, Phil Brown down to help the cause (pictured above).

People can donate all over the garden centre or online via Just giving.com by searching for Andrew Bunker.
