Southend United Manager sanctioned for misconduct.Southend United Manager Phil Brown will serve a four-match touchline ban after he was charged for misconduct in relation to the game against Bury on 8 May 2016.
Brown admitted four of the five breaches, with the remaining breach denied. This final breach was found proven, following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing on Wednesday 8 June.
Further to the touchline ban, the Blues Boss was also warned as to his future conduct and fined £3,000.
Brown has apologised for his conduct and agrees that the Commission came to the right decision.
“It was a thorough hearing where all officials, myself and Graham Coughlan gave evidence.
“They have come to the right decision, I was wrong in my actions and I apologise to everyone associated with the Club and the officials from the Bury game.
“I have learned my lesson and I will take this into account regarding my future conduct.”
