See how far Blues will have to travel in the 2016/17 Sky Bet League One season.

Southend United will travel a total 3,646 miles to visit the 23 teams in Sky Bet League One during the 2016/17 season - which is a round-trip of 7,292 miles.

The fixtures released on Wednesday 22 June at 9am will reveal who Southend United face on the opening day of the season on Saturday.

Should they be drawn away in the first game, the longest trip they could make would be a repeat of the 276-mile trip Blues made to Fleetwood Town at the beginning of last season.

The shortest journey Phil Brown’s side will make from Roots Hall in the 16/17 campaign will be 39-mile trip to Charlton Athletic, a team who have just stepped down to the third-tier.

The other closest games include Millwall (41 miles), Gillingham (45 miles) and AFC Wimbledon (70 Miles).

Accompanying Fleetwood Town in the lengthy journeys is Bolton Wanderers (248 miles), Bury (245 miles), Oldham Athletic (245 miles), Rochdale (244 miles) and Bradford City (225).
