The Toon Army are heading to Roots Hall
Southend United are pleased to announce a pre-season friendly against Championship side Newcastle United at Roots Hall.The game, sponsored by DeVines Accountants will take place on Tuesday 26 July (7:45pm kick off) and will see Phil Brown’s side come up against former Liverpool and Real Madrid Manager, Rafa Benitez and his Toon Army.
With both sides looking to seek out their favoured first team starting eleven ahead of the start of the domestic campaign a whole host of high profile names are set to be on show in a real test for the Blues.
Tickets for this game are now on sale with a discounted price for Southend United & Newcastle United 2016/17 Season Card Holders. (These tickets must be bought in advance of the day of the game to be eligible for the discounted price)
Season Card Holders will also have the opportunity to watch their game from their own seat - to secure this offer, Season Card Holders must purchase their ticket before midnight on Thursday 14 July.
