Defensive midfielder joins on loan from the Premier LeagueSouthend United are delighted to announce the signing of Glen Kamara from Arsenal, on loan until the end of the season.
The defensive midfielder, 20, was on the Blues books in 2012, before making the switch to the Gunners. Kamara was only at Southend for one season, arriving from his native country of Finland.
The player progressed well during a scholarship at Arsenal, before signing a professional contract with the club in 2014.
Despite his young age, Kamara already has first team experience at club and international level.
The player was involved in a Champions league squad against Galatasary in December 2014, and made his gunners debut in the League Cup against Sheffield Wednesday earlier this season.
Kamara, a Finnish international has represented his country at Under-17, 18, 19 and 21 level, and was rewarded with his first senior international call-up in June 2015 for a friendly match against Estonia.
Blues Manager Phil Brown was extremely pleased with his latest acquisition.
“I’m delighted to get the deal done.” Brown Said.
“Just like the others players we have brought in, I think it will help us improve significantly.”
