PREVIEW | The boss looking to maintain the tempo

15 December 2016

Oldham Athletic, Park (3pm)

Phil Brown is expecting the same level of intensity that brought three points against Coventry City when his side travel to the Park on Saturday.

Blues take a nine game unbeaten league run to Oldham Athletic, before two home games over Christmas.

And Brown knows that anything below par could bring an end to the run.

“People always talk about the rich vein of form we’re in. All I can make reference to is the way we performed in last game,” he said.

“We were on the front foot from minute one, got in the face of the opposition, pressed them hard and didn’t allow Coventry to play the good football that they can play.

“The same has to apply on Saturday.

“If you allow Oldham play then they will."

Brown added that Blues are going into games with confidence, whilst also noting that the conditions may be tricky to deal with.

“It’s one of the highest grounds in the country I believe so if it gets a little bit colder there might be snow, you never know.

“But we’re looking forward to the game because of the form we’re in.”
