The boss provides a fitness update agead of AFC Wimbledon
Phil Brown expects Simon Cox to be available for AFC Wimbledon but says Nile Ranger is "touch and go".
Both have lead the line for Blues in the current 10 game unbeaten run, but were forced to come off against Oldham last weekend.
And Brown says it's better news for Cox, but refused to rule out Ranger for Boxing Day.
“One of them is progressing better than we thought he would do which is Simon Cox and the other one not so good.
“That's not saying that we’ve written him off for the game, but Nile Ranger is a slower burner than Coxy.
“Simon seems to have miraculously got himself in training this week.
“I read his comments in the paper yesterday and he obviously intercepted the injury before it got any worse which is the sign of a good pro.
“Where Nile’s concerned it was a different kind of injury and the scan results show it’s a grade one tear which puts the Wimbledon game borderline.
“I doubt whether he’ll be available but you never know.
"It's not weeks and weeks. He’s touch and go for Boxing Day, so hopefully we can get him out there, but Marc-Antoine Fortune deputised for him very well.
“We’ve got competition for places up there.”
