Ed Wood attempts Guinness World Record at Roots Hall

Football fan undertakes world record challenge

Last Saturday's game against Coventry saw a fan continue his attempt to break a Guinness World Record - all whilst raising money for a good cause!

Ed Wood is looking to break the record for watching every football team in the four leagues, plus Berwick Rangers, play a home league game in the shortest amount of time.

He actually broke the record 25 years ago, but the current record - which is 237 days - was set three years later by Ken Ferris in the 1994/95 season.

Ed is well on target to beat the record, having visited 69 grounds in 120 days including Newcastle United’s 2-0 win at Wigan last night.

Roots Hall on Saturday was his 66th and Ed met Phil Brown alongside his friend and author of the book ‘Roots To The 92’, Andrew Leeder.

Ed aims to raise £50,000 for Prostate Cancer UK and would appreciate any donations which can be made on his Just Giving page.
