McLAUGHLIN | Midfielder looking to make Roots Hall a fortress

Blues' in-form winger previews Fleetwood...

Stephen McLaughlin says the players are raring to go ahead of this weekend’s game against Fleetwood Town at Roots Hall.

Blues face the Cod Army on Saturday (3pm kick off) looking to register their first home win of the season after two strong displays against Sheffield United and Bristol Rovers last week.

McLaughlin, who has firmly hit the ground running this season after netting in three of his last four games, believes on the back of recent form, a run of wins at Roots Hall is only just around the corner.

“It’s good to be back on the pitch again.

“After a good result against Sheffield United and coming back from a goal-down against Bristol Rovers shows the good fight among the lads.

“And we’re looking to get back out there on Saturday and do the same.

“Home form is always going to be important and it’s only going to be a matter of time before we get our first win and after that I think we’re going to try to make Roots Hall a fortress.

“Teams already know it’s hard to come here as we’ve been playing well and I think we’ll continue that on Saturday.”
