COKER | Sheffield United win a 'massive result'

17 August 2016

Full back hopes Blues can kick on from victory at Bramall Lane.

Ben Coker says the dressing room was buzzing after last night’s 3-0 triumph over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

The Blues ensured their season reached lift off after a blistering start against the Blades saw them leave South Yorkshire as comfortable victors.

Coker, who has played every minute of Blues’ season so far, was delighted to come away with a moral boosting win.

“We absolutely delighted and all the boys are buzzing.

“It was always going to be a tough game here but early doors we stuck it to them. Up top we brilliant and we kept it tight at the back and it was great performance all round.

“We can be very good this season so we’ve just got to pull together and we’ve shown that we’re all together as a group and as a staff so I think now we can kick on and start our season positively.

“It’s a massive result, you can see that in changing room now.

“The atmosphere was a little bit down after Saturday as we all wanted to get our first win and get three points on the board so now we’ve done that it will give us a lot more freedom to play the way we want to play.

“We’ll have a couple of days to recover now and get in shape for Saturday, but the boys just want to get back on the pitch now.

“It’s crazy what a game does for your confidence.”
