Southend United Football Club are pleased to welcome Fairfield BMW as the new sponsor of the Club's East Stand.
The newly named Fairfield BMW East Stand grabbed attention during the live Sky Sports televised game on Wednesday 30th March with Blues running out 3-1 winners against Sheffield United. The original agreement commences this week until the end of the 2017-2018 season.
Danny Macklin, Commercial Director of Southend United added, "We very much look forward to working closely with Fairfield BMW - as one of the leading car retailers in the area we are delighted to welcome them on board. Regular local and national TV coverage coupled with 180,000 spectators a season will help deliver the objectives of this partnership".
The family-owned business already plays an active role in the community supporting local schools, youth football clubs and charities, including teams at Eastwood Primary School and Leighwood United.
Peter Dodson, Head of Business at Fairfield BMW, said, “Fairfield is delighted to become a Main Sponsor of Southend United Football Club and to be able to support them moving forward”.
“The club epitomises the sense of local community in the town and, whilst Fairfield is one of the largest and most successful BMW & MINI Retailers in the UK, we are still a family business, employing local people. This partnership is a perfect fit for us and we see it as a long-term commitment that will benefit the club, the town and the fans who support and love Southend United.
“We are thrilled to be part of this exciting union, which will hopefully culminate in success both on and off the pitch”
Fairfield’s involvement with the local community goes beyond sports sponsorship. The Retailer has also sponsored a patient from The J’s Hospice to walk over the o2 Arena. They also are regular supporters of charities, including Stand up for Sadie and the Tracey Rolph Charity.
