Young Blues supporters meet the players at Marsh FarmFresh from a cracking result against Sheffield United, some of the Southend United players and a good number of Junior Blues enjoyed a gloriously sunny day at partners, Marsh Farm, on Thursday, 31st March.
First Team Assistant Manager, Graham Coughlan was joined by players Paul Smith, Dan Bentley, John White, Luke O'Neill, Tyrone Barnett, Glen Kamara, Jamar Loza, Sam McQueen, Noel Hunt and some of the Under-21 squad.
The players spent the afternoon with the young supporters and their families, signing autographs and posing for photos.
Blues Captain John White, pleased to be part of the day, was glad to give something back to future generation of Southend United supporters.
“It’s been a great day and it’s made all the nicer by the weather which brings a lot of young fans out which is great.” White said.
“To get that interaction with them is brilliant, and hopefully we’ve put a little smile on their face and made their day.
Junior Blues Coordinator Kay Fogg shared the thoughts of the Blues skipper, highlighting the importance of giving something back to Southend’s young supporters away from the pitch.
“It’s been a great opportunity for the players to meet the players socially, without any pressures of playing.
“Everyone has been able to relax and we have all had fun.”
Thanks goes to Marsh Farm, Kay Fogg, Kevin Fogg, Brad Herson and Kerrie Wicker for their help.
