Choose your DeVines March Player of the Month

3 April 2016

Who's got your vote?

Southend United are asking Blues fans to vote for their DeVines Player of the Month for March.

The club wants fans to cast their vote looking over a month where the Blues registered important wins against play-off rivals Barnsley and Sheffield United, the second of which was live on the Sky Sports cameras.

Up for nomination in March are:

- Jack Payne
-Adam Thompson
-Ben Coker
-Kevan Hurst

The 'Little Magician', Jack Payne has more than played his part in registering some priceless points for Blues during March. The playmaker is now the Blues top scorer with eight goals for the campaign, registering three more in the last month.

Adam Thompson has made a solid return to the back four, registering a clean sheet in his first game back at centre half against Barnsley.

Ben Coker has offered fire power to the attack and solidity at the back in his first full month back in the side after recovering from injury. The full-back has put in some strong showings over the month of March, making some match saving tackles in the game against Sheffield United.

The final nomination is Kevan Hurst. The midfielder has made an eye catching return to the side, with his crossing ability causing league 1 defences many a problem.
