News: Ted Smith called up to England under-20s for Mercedes-Benz Elite Cup

Young stopper to head to Germany next month to represent his country.

Southend United are pleased to announce that goalkeeper Ted Smith has received a call up for the England under-20 team.

This is the second call up Ted has received in the age category having been a part of the matches against the Czech Republic in September 2015.

Ted will be on international duty for his country between the 4th-14th October.

Smith is likely to be involved in the three-game tournament – the Mercedes-Benz Elite Cup in Germany, with opponents from the Netherlands, Germany and Turkey.
