Match Preview: Crewe Alexandra vs. Southend United

29 September 2015

A look ahead to the big game at Gresty Road this evening in League 1.

Team News...
Again, Blues boss Phil Brown has injury problems, and has said that Adam Barrett will require a scan on an injury picked up at Millwall.

John White was back in training this week and is touch and go. Noel Hunt came off the bench in the win over Scunthorpe United but it could be too early for a start for the Irishman.

Stephen McLaughlin could miss out.

The Tickets...
Tickets for the game are off sale in advanced for the game and can be purchased on the day at Crewe Alexandra. Details on tickets can be viewed here.

What they said...
Phil Brown: “They’re back at Gresty Road on Tuesday and will be buoyed by four points from two games on their travels.

“We go into it good spirits as well. The players are on a high. They’re starting to believe in themselves and are playing it around well.

“You can only beat what’s in front of you and you go into it with a positive gameplan. The players know what’s expected of them on Tuesday.”

Steve Davis: “The front three have been dangerous on the counter attack and have worked hard but they are not combing as well as I would like.

“I could shake things up there and look for a different combination because I do have a few options with the likes of Marcus (Haber), George (Cooper) and Harry (Wilson) all waiting for their chance.”
