The boss is up against Hasselbaink, Flitcroft and Humes for the award in League 1.
Southend United boss Phil Brown has been nominated for the Sky Bet League 1 Manager of the Month award for September.
Blues climbed to mid-table in the month following four wins from five games, and the boss is up against old foes from our League 2 days in the form of Burton Albion's Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Bury's David Flitcroft, and also Colchester United's Tony Humes.
David Flitcroft (Bury)
Oversaw a perfect month at Gigg Lane with Bury securing five successive victories. What made that all the more impressive was the difficulty of their fixture list which included trips to Sheffield United, Walsall and Peterborough.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (Burton Albion)
Led Burton to the top of League 1 for the first time in the club’s 65-year history. Has instilled a calm belief and an organisation that allowed his team to collect 10 points from five games, keeping three clean sheets on the way.
Tony Humes (Colchester United)
Built on the springtime momentum which saw the Essex club escape relegation with thrilling attacking play. By adding experience to a youthful core, his side picked up 13 points from five games, scoring 12 goals in the process.
ALL WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON FRIDAY OCTOBER 9TH 2015.
The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery
