Stopper wants to begin cup run for the Blues against Scunthorpe United.
Southend United goalkeeper Dan Bentley wants to make more FA Cup memories this season, when Blues take on Scunthorpe United on Saturday hoping for a cup run.
Phil Brown's side head to Glanford Park on the back of two successive draws in League 1, and also earned a win against the Iron earlier in the season.
And Bentley admits he relishes cup competitions.
“Before I was around we had some great cup memories, such as the Manchester United game and the Chelsea match as well,” Dan said on Thursday.
“A couple of years ago we played Hull City and beat Millwall. We won't mention last season!”
“We have to go to Scunthorpe and do a professional job. We know what Scunthorpe are about having played them at Roots Hall earlier in the season.”
And ahead of the trip north on Saturday, the 22-year-old goalkeeper says the team as a whole do need to sharpen up defensively, against the in form Iron.
“I hate conceding goals and I think people see my frustrations. As a team we hate conceding goals and we all have that clean sheet mentality.
“We're working on the defensive side of our game. We need to make sure we're waterproof at the back.
“We have the personnel to improve on our performances and results.”
