Cocko delighted to banish his previous memories of Wembley after Blues' promotion.
The waiting is finally over for Southend United first team coach Graham Coughlan as he put the pain from his 'worst moment in football' behind him as Blues earned promotion back to League One on penalties against Wycombe Wanderers.
Coughlan was part of a Shrewsbury Town side – which also included a certain David Worrall – in the Shrews' late defeat to Gillingham and has rued that day up until now.
And Cocko couldn't hide his delight as we booked our place in Sky Bet League One for the 2015-16 season following a 7-6 penalty shootout victory at Wembley against the Chairboys.
“I'm over the moon. I've waited five years for this,” Coughlan said after the game on Saturday.
“The group of players we have here have been unbelievable and have shown their character again by coming back from 1-0 down. There were times I was wondering if they were going to do it but they've been amazing all season.
“Let's make sure we enjoy our time because it doesn't come around too often. What a day for all of us at the Club and our fantastic supporters.”
