Midfield man backing Blues to chase down the five point gap - starting against Dagenham.
Southend United midfielder Ryan Leonard believes Blues can overcome the five point gap between the side and the top three.
A draw with Wycombe Wanderers put Blues five points behind the automatic promotion places and Leonard says he and his team-mates aren't giving up and can still break into the top three.
“We were disappointed to come away with just a point against Wycombe,” the 22-year-old says.
“Five points is not out of our reach. There's still 11 games to go and we're certainly more than capable of chasing down those automatic promotion spots.
“It's a big week for us now. We have two tough away games against Dagenham on Saturday and then Burton Albion on Wednesday.
“Dagenham is the bigger of the two as it's the first one, but we need to really pick up a few points now from the next two games and start getting past that five point buffer.”
And Leonard is backing the team to put on a performance for the strong travelling contingent that will be heading to east London.
Only a handful of tickets remain for the game against the Daggers and Leonard is expecting a tricky fixture against Wayne Burnett's men.
“Any game will be tough at this stage of the season. There's still loads to play for with every team we play. It's a local game on Saturday, we'll take lots of fans there and it will be nice if we can get the win for them.”
