Striker returns to White Hart Lane.
Striker Shaq Coulthirst has returned to parent club Tottenham Hotspur.
Signing on a loan deal in the summer from the Premier League outfit, Shaq found himself in and out of the Southend side and scored four times for Blues – against Portsmouth, Shrewsbury Town, Northampton Town and York City.
And Phil Brown was quick to thank Coulthirst for his efforts at the Club, and wishing the young forward the best for his future.
“It was something which was in the pipeline.,” Brown said.
“Spurs were going to recall him in a bid to get a contract at Tottenham or somewhere else.
“I just couldn’t guarantee that he’d get plenty of first team football here.
“He’s been outstanding in the way he has conducted himself during his time at Southend United and I’d like to wish him the very best in his future career."
