Defender in good health following incident against Cambridge United.
Southend United manager Phil Brown has said Blues centre back Luke Prosser won’t be rushed back, after going to hospital on Saturday afternoon.
The defender was knocked unconscious from a Ryan Donaldson free kick mid-way through the second half of the game against Cambridge United, and the boss says the centre half is ‘fine’.
“Luke is stable, he’s fine and he’s suffered from concussion,” Brown told the official website.
“He was released from hospital on Saturday night and we’re now going down the PFA guidelines.
“At this moment in time he won’t be playing against Bury on Saturday. He will be assessed and tested on a day-to-day basis.“
