News: Over 8,000 miles to travel next season in Sky Bet League One

17 June 2015

More travelling for Blues fans than last season

Blues will travel more miles next season in Sky Bet League One than they did during the 2014-15 campaign.

Last season, we travelled just over 7,800 miles on the road, whilst this time around we'll rack up a total of 8,255 miles trekking up and down the country watching the Blues.

Yes, we may have waved goodbye to long trips such as Hartlepool United, Carlisle United and Plymouth Argyle, but we've also gained the likes of Fleetwood Town, Blackpool Wigan Athletic to our schedule as well as a host of Greater Manchester sides in League One.

Our two shortest trips of the season are to our Essex rivals Colchester United and Millwall, whilst the voyage to Fleetwood is our longest – a 552 mile round-trip!

The full mileage (round-trip) amounts are below:

Barnsley – 398 miles
Blackpool – 544 miles
Bradford City – 448 miles
Burton Albion – 334 miles
Bury – 494 miles
Chesterfield – 364 miles
Colchester United – 80 miles
Coventry City – 259 miles
Crewe Alexandra – 408 miles
Doncaster Rovers – 372 miles
Fleetwood Town – 552 miles
Gillingham – 90 miles
Millwall – 80 miles
Oldham Athletic – 492 miles
Peterborough United – 216 miles
Port Vale – 390 miles
Rochdale – 499 miles
Scunthorpe United – 382 miles
Sheffield United – 399 miles
Shrewsbury Town – 386 miles
Swindon Town – 276 miles
Walsall – 318 miles

Over the summer, we'll have a detailed look of every opponent we'll be taking on next season.
